Nearly thirty years on Highway 438.

Big's Place opened its doors in 1996, and it's been a Franklinton fixture ever since — older than most of the kids who grew up stopping in for a plate lunch and a cold drink on the way home.

  • 1996

Big's Place opens on Highway 438 — the country store, the cooler and the deli counter.

  • Since

Three decades of groceries on the go, the weekly plate lunch, firewood, bait and "the stuff you need to fix something."

  • Today

Still family-run, still open 'til 10, and now with a home online for the whole neighborhood to find.
